SodaStream Source

The elegantly redesigned carbonating bottle easily locks into place with a single-push motion. Powered by a CO2 canister, the refined mechanics of SodaStream Source make the entire top surface responsive to touch, and the strength of carbonation is visible through an LED display, providing instant, visual feedback.

Yves Béhar

Yves Béhar is a designer and sustainability advocate. He is the founder of fuseproject, the San Francisco and New York based design and branding firm he established in 1999. His collaborations with renowned partners such as Herman Miller, Jawbone, GE, Puma, Canal+, MINI, Samsung, Issey Miyake, Swarovski and many others have received international acclaim.

Yves Béhar believes that design should be a force for positive social and environmental change.

His humanitarian work on One Laptop Per Child and See Better to Learn Better has been honored with an INDEX award each, making him the only designer to have received the award twice.

Béhar's works are included in the permanent collections of museums worldwide including the MOMA and the Pompidou Center in Paris.

SodaStream Impact

SodaStream is an "Active Green" product, meaning that consumers are actively reducing their CO2 footprint every time they make soda or sparkling water at home instead of buying it from the store. The more the system is used on a daily basis, the more CO2 footprint the user actively saves.

Because SodaStream uses water straight from the tap, the system makes traditional store-bought beverage bottles obsolete.

SodaStream at The Conran Shop

The highly-anticipated SodaStream Source by Yves Béhar will be available for the first time globally at The Conran Shop during London Design Festival. Béhar’s concept re-examines every element of the SodaStream system, including the interface, design and material selection, redefining the way it is used. The monolithic shape of SodaStream Source expresses the simple efficiency of the system while making a strong design statement in the kitchen. There will also be a SodaStream Bar at The Conran Shop serving complimentary soft drinks and cocktails for the duration of the Festival.

SodaStream at the V&A

SodaStream is also collaborating with conceptual artist David Kassman with screenings of the poetic film ‘Lost’ in the Lecture Theatre of the Victoria & Albert Museum. The thought-provoking film , addresses the environmentally damaging plastic waste in our oceans. The film places in the hands of the consumer the choice whether to change their habits of consumption or whether to contribute to this global problem of drowning in plastic. SodaStream is on a mission to eliminate this waste; Source is a home carbonation system that is an alternative to packaged beverages, with one household able to save 550 plastic bottles per year by using a SodaStream machine instead.
